
Rachelle Payne Baum
PT, MSPT, BS
Rachelle Payne Baum has personally treated hundreds of physical therapy patients between the ages of 12-100 since she began practicing over thirty-two years ago. Rachelle graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She then attended Texas Woman's University in Houston, TX, and graduated with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. She received additional education and training from the top athletic doctors, surgeons and physical therapists in Houston who treat and train professional athletes from the NBA Rockets, the MLB Astros, the NFL Texans and the Houston Dynamo Soccer Team.
Rachelle has worked in a variety of settings including the Intensive Care Unit, Hospital Med-Surg Units, Telemetry, Skilled Nursing, Rehab, and Outpatient Orthopedic Rehab, and Home Health. She currently owns and operates her own home health agency, CASA Healthcare, and she also has extensive outpatient experience as she started her own outpatient clinic, Concept Physical Therapy, in Baytown, TX, and she continues to maintain working relationships with therapists and doctors all over Houston and the surrounding areas.
Rachelle loves all sports and played competitive volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She currently enjoys snow skiing, long distance running, cycling and powerlifting. She is an expert in nutrition and strength training. She has participated in multiple competitions and sporting events, including the Texas Open Bodybuilding Championship, the Body for Life fitness challenge (top 10 of over a million applicants), the Houston Body Transformation Challenge (1st place), the Las Vegas Marathon (2nd place), and a triathlon (1st place). Rachelle continues to take part in community sporting events for recreational enjoyment.
Rachelle and her husband Jason have 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls, who range from 6–23 years of age. Because of her professional training and experience as a mother, she enjoys helping instruct mothers regarding safe and proper exercise and nutrition in pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and postpartum stages.
